Have you ever read Arthur Conan Doyle’s 1912 novel The Lost World or Jules Verne’s Journey to the Centre of the Earth from 1864? Both are evocative and certainly have the potential to spawn wonder much like Jurassic Park more recently. Are there places on Earth that still hold the potential for the wonder and amazement of new species?
This short video (7min from Hybrid Librarian) crossed my desk yesterday and I couldn’t not have a look. Given its title , Earth’s 10 Most Mysterious Lost Worlds – I wondered if it was yet another tick list of places to see. While the music is a bit melodramatic, the photographs are stunning as well as the information. Anyone even remotely interested in the geography of Earth will be astounded at what we still don’t know.
Have a watch, then start adjusting your bucket list!
